I'm not sure if this is a bug report or just feedback on UI/UX, but here's a message back from someone to whom I referred upcoming.org:

I went to upcoming.org – great suggestion, but after ….. (time) 
I was unable to get past “No venue found”.  Ahhhh….great 
suggestion but I must need a brain transplant to make this 
work for me.  After multiple entries (Washtenaw Community
 College; WCC, Morris Lawrence…; 4800 Huron River….) 
I have given up.

I also find that this is the primary place where the overall website UX fails.
