I'd love to see the default version number in the style.css file (and the "version" of the theme shown in WordPress) always be 0.0.1 or 1.0.0 maybe. When you pull this off the shelf, you'll be messing with the version number anyway because you're making a child theme and modifying it. You don't really want the version of the repo, you want to start at 1 and increment up on your own.
Whereas the version in the package.json file actually could continue to be the release version, so you'd know what the version of the child theme was when you pulled it down from here.
Thoughts? Would this be helpful to anyone other than me? Is this just a terrible idea.
