apologies if we do have them, but we've been wondering about this for a while.
adequate emoji are kind of a pain.
and. fishing spots seems to be the kind of thing people would put on a map. fishing people are very guarded about their spots! on land and on the water!
boat landings?
and water hazards. water hazards are too numerous, in my opinion, but a general icon - or even a general icon for hazards. anyone from avalanche, landslide, flood, old ammo etc. zones might appreciate it.
(conservation-wise an icon for migration routes like bat-caves or crabs or, I dunno, elephants might also be interesting. but that could be easily covered where it's more likely to be used: as a polygon across roadways. so perhaps unnecessary or confusing.)
we don't have to be local river pilots or professional navigators; and we suspect actually talking to fishing people will yield too many icons. but there seems like a niche for at least a few open-water markers.
this kind of local lore is ideal for umap, and makes it stand out. what's goog going to do, copyright more pictures of waves? :)
