Thanks @slieggi -- But why are you creating a new repository? There is already a place for the event in the |
Sorry....I meant to flag with you. I'm trying out GirHub Projects with
Karstens help. I wanted to see if I could manage the contributions of
session chairs through issue tracking in an open environment. I'm still
figuring it out but it seems like a good way to manage this aspect that is
a bit of a pain every year. I haven't done much on it yet though.

There is already a place for the event in the ucsc-ospo.github.io
repository in the content/event/20230927 directory. It's essentially a
copy from 2022 with all stuff from last year removed but already includes
info for potential sponsors, parking, and lodging information. With most of
the program entered in sched, we probably just have to add a few links into
the sched site and update the banner.

I would love to have contributions of session chairs structured in GitHub Projects -- I think that's a great idea! But why not do it in GitHub Projects in the website's repository? |
We can do it in the website repo... I just wasn't thinking about that when
I just was trying it out today .... I can easily adjust.

To get a sense of how to divide up things into repositories, check out https://github.com/orgs/todogroup/repositories. If you end up creating a new repository for each event, you are going to have a lot of repositories. |
