No issue with snap one.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. search for VLC in Debian packages
2. fail

Expected behavior

No response

I can't reproduce the issue - could you share any relevant logs from ~/snap/snap-store/current/.local/share/snap-store/ (or alternative the command line output when running snap-store from the terminal, if you can reproduce the problem)?

Thanks - that looks like there's an appstream component with a release that's missing a version number somewhere in the appstream pool on your system. Does

appstreamcli search vlc

work as expected?
Which version of Ubuntu are you running?
