The underlying issue is that num_tokens_dropped sometimes has an incorrect value.

Here's the simplest repro case I've been able to create in Java:

1. Create a collection with a single document, with a single string field, set to "blue jay"
2. Search for the query term "bluejay"
3. Search result throws an exception when deserializing the JSON response.

I'm using Typesense cloud 28.0 and the Typesense Java client 1.3.0.

We've just published a new RC build 29.0.rc20 that contains the fix. I will be closing this issue since it's not related to the Java client code.

What's the path to the v29 RC becoming fully released?

It'd be nice to keep this issue open until we are able to deploy the update, and confirm that this is indeed fixed in the current production release.

We do GA releases when we have accumulated enough changes. We plan to do a v29.0 release in the next 3-4 weeks.

I have kept the original issue on Typesense repo open since it's a server-side issue.
