Problems with Stereo Mode

I don't know of a way to test the microphone bitrate, but when testing with a friend the stereo option didn't seem to work. I tried the obligatory turn it off and on again for the setting and restarted Discord both with Ctrl+R and by killing the app. Nothing seemed to work. I know that what I am putting through my microphone is stereo as well because I have a audio mixer and the channels were being output at different levels. Also, my friend did not have Powercord, and if that's an issue then that is understandable. Any help would be appreciated!
