I do love the simplicity of yam but I think one additional feature that would imo make sense and be quite useful is for yam to also recognize environment variables in the style ${appname}_.

It wouldn't be too hard to implement and if a PR would get merged I'll try to find the time to implement that myself.
Any thoughts?

@Globegitter I'd also find this useful. Did you have any luck getting environment variables working or find out if a PR with this would be welcomed?
