I work on both Baileys and whatsmeow, soon I'll release a tool to migrate sessions, and much later we are planning to make a universal session structure between many libraries 😉. Regarding performance benefits, they are very minor for a whaticket instance. The real whaticket company (SaaS version) uses and contributes very actively to Baileys OSS so we can assume they use it as well
not to mention it would be a lot of effort
