To an uninformed User, there is no way to determine what these markings are unless an intersecting stream is selected, which in turn would be a seemingly unrelated item.

Also, this extends beyond the selected region. I am assuming this is a deliberate choice.

At low zoom levels, the fuzziness of the lines make it very difficult to determine profile of the shape as well. Gotta tighten up the graphics on level 3.

May want to consider st_intersecting out the restricted lands that fall well outside a region because it interferes with cognition and bloats the size of the file.
