Learn how to use tox protocol?

Hi, I'm a java developer, and I'm looking to build a tox based chat application. What is the best way to learn tox protocol and project setup using java?

Have you succeeded in building tox4j and/or setting it up in Intellij IDEA?
You may want to try https://github.com/iphydf/tox4j instead of the upstream
version. Other than that, join #tox-dev and talk to me (iphy).
