HomeAssistant Discovery Message

HomeAssistant can support mqtt messages but to automatically create devices etc it needs a discovery message to be sent. It would be an amazing enhancement to have this available

(Appreciate it isn’t critical, but as a potential future enhancement would make adoption much easier for HA users).

To be honest, that would a lot new entities.

• our BUZZ includeds 373 topics
• the e-up! has 243.
  HA will be spamed by this.

I’m not suggesting it would be for every topic, but a basic set would aid adoption into HA

I would love that to. And dont see problems in spamming HA as one could use what ever suits him. Bu an easier way to add entities then by adding them manual from mqtt topics.

I just added the docker to my HAOS and it works perfectly and thinking on making a real add-on for setup the HA way, and then autodiscovery would be wery nice.
