friendly reminder: issue multiple folder export still isn't working

as this feature was heavily used in my company and sadly missed, I would like to give it a new try:
We discussed about this last year in July in this conversation:

We would really appreciate, if it would be possible to export multiple folders at once, as Thunderbird supports multi-folder selection again.

Friendly reminders are aOK ;-}
Especially with something as overdue as this.
I'm actually working on it right now. Of course it's more complicated than meets the eye. I'm dealing with a variety of things beyond the basic cases. One is the different menu changes with highlighted account lines and also handling multiple accounts and folders highlighted.

There's also the issues with recursive subfolders and overlapping folders.
When I'm farther along and have a beta I will get some feedback from you on some implementation choices.
