"Permission denied" to list or execute although permissions there

But just for a single aspect to gain personal calm, why/how could this happen when running under termux's provided sh

~ $ ls -ld /
drwxr-xr-x 29 root root 4096 Dec 31  2008 /
~ $ ls -l /
ls: cannot open directory '/': Permission denied
~ $ /wrongpath
bash: /wrongpath: Permission denied

since if we follow posix permissions model, it should be ok to list the / from above ls output and should provide more adequate sh: /asdfasdf: inaccessible or not found or alike.

Not a bug. Android restricts access to root filesystem. Termux does not have any superpowers to bypass system restrictions.
