Mathematical symbols

It will be very convenient for a possibility that scalar names could have a mathematical expressions/formulas using latex (or any other tool for mathematical symbols) so the following line, for example, will look with "2" as superscript in the browser.

I agree with the idea that we would want to support this via markdown.

Right now we only use a small set of markdown extensions:

There appear to be 3rd-party markdown extensions for mathematical symbols but we haven't vetted them. Picking the first one that appears in my search results: https://pypi.org/project/python-markdown-math/: It looks like we'd also need some FE changes to bring in MathJax, which is a library mentioned in the stackoverflow thread.
