Business need:
Often when contacting people through the text app to invite them to events, they have moved or there is a generic event URL that seems to users not to show any events near them (someone told me there wasn't a debate watch party in Atlanta for the second debate, which was obviously untrue).
Proposal:
Get a link to the event map pinned to the ThruText application to quickly assist text team members finding events for voters, or
Provide a link to the event map for inclusion in the campaign's formatted replies in the Thru Text application (less preferred option, as this still requires the voter to perform work to get info).
Implementation Enhancements:
To best utilize this feature, additional filtering or selection tools would be critical to narrow search results to match the text campaign's current initiative.
Since the information is being provided by texters to voters, the map view is less important than the event details & sign up link. For the porposed implementation, a list view with the ability to quick-copy the event info/sign up page URL to the clipboard would be more valuable.
As most of the text team likely aren't familiar with GitHub, hosting on AWS, GCP, or Firebase hosting with the free credits for new accounts would provide a low to no cost hosting for the foreseeable future, while providing more familiar domain names for typical users.
Considerations:
This might be better for a separate stand-alone project, but since the basic logic is already in place here, this proposal comes down to a different view that could be handled by the app's route handling.
As a member of the Text Team, I can't emphasize enough how frustrating and unproductive it is to have to detail a conversation with a voter to help them find the event that I've already sent an incorrect link to. The ability to quickly access the correct information and move on with the conversation would be invaluable, from my personal experience.

Interesting idea. I'm not all that familiar with the ThruText ui - could you maybe post a sample screenshot (personal details redacted, etc.) and highlight where / how this project could plug in, as it were?
It actually doesn't even have to be on the ThruText app, it can be added to the shift instructions that are posted every day, now that I think about it when my brain is awake.
@Hucxley - Why is the event map the solution to this problem instead of a direct link to the campaign's RSVP event URL?
What kinds of filters would be most useful to you? There has been discussion of adding filtering for different kinds of events. What is it that would be most useful to you?
