due to the approach of using the .bbl file directly in a thebibliography environment, the layout of the bibliography may change if the original paper was compiled using biblatex.

the current solution uses a custom .bst file that may be adjusted to one's preference. This is not handy since a manual adjustion of flatPaper.bst is required if using biblatex. For an example of this problem, see example03. Currently, no better solution is known.
