The Tari mobile app did not display any mining rewards when connected to node five. Upon checking the connection settings (antennae icon), it was evident that the app wasn't connected to any node. Switching to node one re-established the connection, and all queued mining rewards were received.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Open the Tari mobile app and if you notice no mining rewards, you need to check the connections.
Tap on the antennae icon to access connection settings.
Note that the app is connected to tor, internet, and connected/synced to a base node
Attempt to switch between nodes to observe no connection on all five.
In my case, I selected node one and could see that the connection is established and mining rewards appear as a stream.
Expected behavior
The app should maintain a stable connection with the selected node. If the chosen node is inactive or under maintenance, the app should automatically reconnect to an active node or notify the user to switch nodes, ensuring continuous receipt of mining rewards. The color of the antennae should be green or red, or even alert you that it has lost connection to the internet/node/tor.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
OS: Windows 11
Version: 23H2 (OS Build 22631.4169)
Smartphone (please complete the following information):
Device: Galaxy Z Fold5
OS: One UI 6.1.1 / Android v14 / SE for Android Status Enabled
Additional context
Enhancing the UI/UX to handle asynchronous callbacks and node connectivity issues would improve the user experience. Providing clear notifications or automatic failovers when a node is inactive can prevent interruptions in mining reward distribution.
