App list no longer alphabetical

The app list is no longer alphabetical, and sorting by unknown criteria.

Have uninstalled several times and cleared both cache and storage, no change.

I noticed in the latest update now that all app names starting with emojis are now at the top of the list, whereas they used to always appear at the bottom, which was correct, if sorting by Unicode. Not sure why this changed. I mark the apps on my homescreen with emojis. I don't want them to appear at the top of the app drawer list. I hope this sorting can be changed or some option given for how to sort, otherwise I will have to come up with a workaround.

@Lomacar as a workaround I suppose you can hide the apps in the app drawer that are already on your home screen.
