Error on auctions and watchlist

The pages for auctions and watch list do not work.

I'm getting errors like this in my apache error log.

The message I get from adding a new bid is: "[Error] Error: Invalid item number (302770233500) or [Buy-It-Now] article!"
Nothing is added and doesn't seem to work at all. esniper is installed and upgraded to the most recent version.

I am on Ubuntu 16.06 and PHP 7.

I think this is a known bug and has something to do with german ebay site but not sure ... also I am unsure if php7 works with this
