  • Please tell us about yourself (include an email address):
My name is Mustaque Nadim, and I am building a Salah tracking application (not ordinary) specifically designed for Muslims to help them stay consistent in their prayers. You can reach me at [email protected].

  • Your purpose in using this API:
I intend to use the API to access authentic Hadiths related to the importance of salah, motivation for prayer, and its virtues. These Hadiths will be displayed as part of daily motivational content within the app to encourage users to maintain their prayer routines. This content will help users connect spiritually and understand the value of salah through authentic sources.

  • API rate limits:
    Initially,

    • Maximum requests per second: 5
    • Maximum requests per day: 1000
  • Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
Programmatic API access would be better for my use case, as it allows real-time retrieval of Hadiths based on specific themes or queries.

  • What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
I would like the Hadith data in Bengali, English and Arabic to support the user base.

  • What programming language will your API client be in?
The API client will be written in JavaScript, as I am building the app using Next.js, a popular JavaScript framework.
