Bug in ver 3.5.2 and ?; background color displayed as black even though settings say white

For Windows 10 (& Windows 11), 64-bit:
I usually install the latest build but will now stop doing so.
With build 3.5.2, the settings file did NOT change but background color is now black for all documents. :-(

Uninstalled ver. 3.5.2 and re-installed 3.4.6. No more problem. . . . :-)

Also it seems like "inverted colors" functionality. Press 'i' in 3.5 or 'Shift + i` in latest pre-release to toggle that.

Using 'i' in ver. 3.4.6, I can replicate the "problem" I experienced in ver. 3.5.2

Of course, iIt must have been "user error"; i.e., "fat fingers" there, accessing a command I did not even know existed, nor knew how to search for to solve the problem.

I preferred i as the shortcut instead of shift+i. Has been really handy and comfortable for me in current stable version. Maybe you could change "i" for "info" to "d" for "description" or something and keep "i" intact. Or maybe "d" for "dark" works here.

The most frequent problem has been users not knowing I was reversed from shift to unshifted at some point (to make it easier to invert negatives or blueprints) thus often user does not understand the reversed colours, and either complains or asks what went wrong.

The current 3.6 pre release behaviour puts it back to the way it was from way back that I was historically just for Info.

If your preference is the reverse simply swap them using the shortcuts system as 2 entries or use D if you wish.

I came here for same reason.

I think my cat walked over keyboard and must've stepped on shift + i and made it dark as my pdfs all came up black with white text/inverted colors for the last 5 days too!

She's a whizz, she has previously turned screen sideways, opens settings, all sorts by walking over the shift and function keys to get my attention.

Honestly, we're not all experts, sometimes cats happen....
