Page numbers different than printed pages

In a pdf with a roman numeral introduction, page numbers are shown as either roman or regular type depending on what page you are on. However, when you go to print, the page numbers are incorrect - they are always regular type starting from the first page of the document. you need to type in the page numbers in the print dialogue by noting ( writing on a sheet of paper, ) the page numbers in the parenthesis that you want printed, then typing them in.

Actually inside a PDF the First page is a nominal [Base 0] for editors which is supposed to be shown by viewers/gui editors as page 1 in addition to pages having label's thus page 1 can be 406 from a journal or even page A or Z (i) or whatever an Author decides to use. Printer dialogues only understand page numbers from Base 1
