Cursor should automatically focus on search field

[...] when I click on the search button at the top the drop down list comes up but I have to click back on the search bar to type? It would be nice if when I click on the top it would let me type rather than click again.

Also verified on Pixel 3a running Android 11. I think this used to be the default behavior, but possibly broke when the searchable spinner widget was reimplemented.
