All other channel configurations (AAS_CONFIG_CHANS_8_LOUD included) cause a crash.

The crash is avoided with AAS_CONFIG_CHANS_16 if this call in AAS_DoConfig is avoided:

apex-audio-system/src/aas/AAS_Main.c
