Did you check the docs and existing issues?

  • I have read the docs
  • I have searched the existing issues

Neovim version (nvim -v)

NVIM v0.10.0; oil.nvim 9a59256

Operating system/version

Windows 10

Describe the bug

oil.nvim doesn't seem to be appending a colon after the drive letter. I looked for similar issues and found that #326 describes exactly what's happening here. It appears that the issue is expected to be resolved, but I'm still encountering the problem. The path can be viewed using :lua =vim.fn.expand('%').

What is the severity of this bug?

tolerable (can work around it)

Steps To Reproduce

:lua =vim.fn.expand('%')

Expected Behavior

The colon is included after the drive letter.

Repro

-- save as repro.lua
-- run with nvim -u repro.lua
-- DO NOT change the paths
local root = vim.fn.fnamemodify("./.repro", ":p")

  vim.env[("XDG_%s_HOME"):format(name:upper())] = root .. "/" .. name

        config = function()
            require("oil").setup({
              -- add any needed settings here
            })
        end,
  },
  -- add any other plugins here
}
require("lazy").setup(plugins, {
  root = root .. "/plugins",
})

vim.cmd.colorscheme("tokyonight")
-- add anything else here

Did you check the bug with a clean config?

  • I have confirmed that the bug reproduces with nvim -u repro.lua using the repro.lua file above.
