Jreibun is an ongoing project for developing a corpus of high quality Japanese-English example sentences. It hasn't been published yet, but it will be freely licensed (Creative Commons) when it is.

There is currently a preview sample of 407 sentences from the project on jisho.org. These sentences should be added to Jitendex when they become publicly available. Footnotes and HTML metadata should be provided to allow users to easily distinguish the sentences from the Tatoeba / Tanaka Corpus sentences.

Seems the project is still active. Another 3000 Jreibun sentences were added to jisho.org last month.
