To be able to reproduce images in the future with current and future versions of Spyder we should be able to have access to scripts used for creating content in the spyder docs website.

So for example GIFs at http://docs.spyder-ide.org/develop/plots.html#
spyder-docs/scripts/plots/plots.py
spyder-docs/scripts/plots/mute_inline_plotting.py
... etc.

PR 181 doesn't solve this issue.

Sorry, my mistake; I should have read the description more carefully. I mixed this up with #183 , because of the ambiguously similar name, that I knew Gonzalo had talked about opening an issue for that, and PR #181 was originally tagged as closing #181 (not #183 ) which I assumed was a digit transposition typo of #118 (this issue). I corrected the closes message in that PR accordingly.
