Syncthing GUI doesn't load

Hi

I have an issue with the A30 with spruce in that Syncthing doesn't load the GUI.

I have tried to get it working, including reinstalling, formatting the SD etc. but Syncthing still doesn't load.

So what happens is that, after I enable Syncthing on the device I can see that my browsers (I tried with Firefox, Brave, Chrome, Edge on 3 different devices) try to load something but the page stays blank and keeps loading but nothing appears on the screen. In addition, i can see that in the dev console of the browser theres a bunch of these messages:

net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

From different resources. i am constantly doing something on the Miyoo to keep it from going to sleep, but the page doesn't load even after 5 Minutes.

In the logs under /mnt/SDCARD/spruce/bin/Syncthing/serve.log I don't see any errors.

Any one knows this issue and how to possibly fix?

Just to get the obvious out of the way, are you making sure you're using the right IP address(dont forget the port)? It's listed in the GUI For example I can visit mine at:
http://192.168.1.135:8384/

Secondly if you enable ST on the device and enter a game, do you see a Syncthing Sync checker?

If you did can you try to visit the ST Web GUI again?

Finally if that doesn't work do you see any logs at

/mnt/SDCARD/Saves/spruce/spruce.log

And also could you PLEASE check /config/system.json file.

I ran into this issue when i had a corrupted /config/system.json file, fixing that caused ST and network services to run correctly again.

Please tell me what the contents of your /configs/system.json file is if you can if all else fails.

If that ends up being the issue then this should automatically be fixed in a future update 3.3.3 with #349

Yes, I am using the URL, in my case http://192.168.1.130:8384 which is also the same it shows in the GUI.

Yes, I do see the Syncthing checker when going in game and suspending etc. but it says no folder configured as obviously I haven't been able to do so because I can't get into the GUI.

One more mention, SSH is very slow, so if I try to check the logs or do literally anything on SSH it somethimes takes couple of minutes just to cat a logfile. I thought at first it could be because of a faulty SD card so I also did the following:

• Formatted SD Card and reinstalled spruce
• Took a different, known good sd card that was used in a perfectly working rg35xxh and miyoo mini, formated and installed spruce
• "unbricked" with the image from here, reinstalled spruce and updated firmware again (I beleive this should also replace the system.json?)

All of these did not help to solve the problem.

As to the log files, I see the following:

I see that the JSON is invalid, so fixed that (remove the second block) and try again but the issue is still the same unfortunately.

In general everything externally is very slow. Gaming is fine and works as expected but everything through SSH and HTTP is slow, even the spruce services page on port 80 takes ages to load.

Make sure you are editing the correct JSON file and make sure you still have valid JSON =) (no trailing commas or anything in your JSON)

Unfortunately this is still valid, my system.json looks as follows:

As you can see the there are no trailing commas or anything and it looks identical (apart from some values for volume etc.) as the one from this issue: #327 (comment)

In addition to that, everything network related is extremely slow, meaning that even the services page on port 80 takes ages to load and when I forced the fresh install via the advanced configuration it downloaded it with less than 1 MB/s. It's not a WIFI issue in general however as I tested some with my Miyoo Mini Plus and my RG35XXH which both had fine download speeds on the same network and location.

This would lead me to believe it could be an issue with the Wifi in general as even the reflashing of the firmware didn't help. I might have a defective unit or so.

EDIT:

Something else that only just now came to my mind to test is to CURL the affected service, so syncthing.

Funilly enough, when I curl the ip on Port 8384 the CURL starts okay, but stops midway, so I get this (I ommited everything after the top block and the part where it cuts off):

So yeah, it just hangs there and never goes further than this line where it cuts off.

Same happens when I CURL it on Port 80. it also Cuts off always at the same part. This is very strange, so something is very not right with my unit...
