My goal is to make PHP saner, faster, more consistent, and easier to use. That's why I've implemented a few RFCs (mixed type, Locale-independent float to string cast, Add return type declarations for internal methods, Final class constants, Readonly classes) and committed hundreds of changes to php-src as well as the PHP manual.

My planned tasks are the following:

  • cleaning up function and method signatures
  • making sure that the manual is up-to-date with php-src
  • converting resources to objects
  • improving the OO API
  • making JSON parsing faster
