Become a sponsor to Kian-Meng Ang
Hi there!
Glad to see that you're curious or contemplating on sponsoring my contributions to Free/Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS).
It's wonderful that we've crossed paths. A little kindness goes a long way. Perhaps today, consider a small act of generosity, for yourself or another. Here are some easy suggestions:
- Smile, and be gentle with yourself (it's just a muscle away)
- Share genuine compliments and love to the people closest to you (it's just a message away)
- Tackle that someday item from your to-do list and take the next small step (it's just one step forward)
- Help improve FLOSS by reporting bugs with clarity and respect (it's just a button away)
- Contribute to projects you love by submitting small, helpful pull requests (it's just a few minutes)
- Donating to charities or organizations you believe in (it's just a search away)
If you're still thinking about sponsoring me, read further.
Driven by my passion for FLOSS, I dedicate a significant portion of my time to enhancing projects that caught my attention, but mostly on Elixir, Python, Erlang, Rust, Go, LaTeX, Typst, PostgreSQL, and more. My contributions range from fixing typos and improving documentation to housekeeping CI pipelines, often through small and trivial pull requests, almost on a daily basis. I believe that consistent, focused contributions, even in brief bursts, are more valuable than endless doomscrolling on social media.
Besides coding, I also share my technical explorations, personal reflections, and indulgences (gardening, fishkeeping, and more) through writings on my blog at kianmeng.org.
By sponsoring me, you're directly fueling my ability to contribute more to the FLOSS community. Your support lets me dedicate more time to exploring and improving these projects while constantly learning and growing.
Any amount is helpful, and everything is welcome.
If you can't contribute financially, that's alright.
Remember a simple act of kindness can have a ripple effect. Consider doing something good for yourself or someone today, as suggested earlier. In just two minutes, you can make a small but meaningful difference, especially to yourself and the world.
May your day be filled with peace, kindness, and simple joys.
