I am a software engineer with 25+ years experience.
My recent works in open source are mainly focusing on testing automation for non-tech giant companies.
Its ultimate goal is to make test writing as cool as product writing.
Writing tests is not as fun as writing product.
Why?
Because test codes need to be repetitive and not uniformed unlike product code.
Why?
It's because lack of fundamental toolings to make it cool.
Like good assertion libraries, good MBT tool that can balance test suite size and coverage, etc.
These are what we lack today.
Your support will change the way to write tests, not only unit tests but also higher level of integration tests.
Some of my works are already published in well-known academic conferences including IEEE International Conference on Software Testing.
