“Would it be possible to add a feature to retain previous NPDS servers registered with the tracker across restarts? I have to keep my server up to date with the latest security updates, etc. When I have to reboot I lose all of the servers for a while.”
Not sure how feasible this is, but I thought I’d document it anyway.

So after digging around the source code the feature already exists. Servers are written out to the file "npdscmd.txt". You simply make your startup script use that file when starting as follows:
npdstracker -c npdscmd.txt
This will read in the servers and bring the tracker server to the same state as when it was shut down.
So the feature already exists!! Although issue #24 must be fixed first for this to work.
This is a suggestion from Peter Geremia who runs the Newtonrulez tracker.
