self-update command

it'd be nice to have the ability to update rv without finding and running the updated install command each time.

dist provides two options for self-updater functionality:

1. set install-updater = true, and dist will provide an rv-update program
2. use axoupdater as a library instead, and add an rv selfupdate subcommand (like dist, rustup, and some other tools have)

the down-side of option 1 is it adds a second tool.
the down-side of option 2 is it adds complexity to rv's codebase.

i think right now, option 1 would be my suggestion.

Personally, I would rather a complicated codebase and a simpler deployment, vs. a simpler codebase and a more complicated deployment. So I would lean towards 1 instead of 2. Curious what the other maintainers think.

If y'all are okay with it needing more up-front effort, the tighter integration is definitely nicer. And I suppose in a way rv is about tighter integration so maybe that effort makes more sense here than with other projects?

I completely confused 1 and 2, I agree we should do 2.

On board with rv selfupdate, sounds great. If we implement that, we will probably need to detect "installed by Homebrew" state and abort with "you should run brew update rv instead".
