Description

They show up as a breach on the station map and on the atmos monitor, this causes the "zone" cover the exterior of the station as well. While I doubt its the case, if this is intentional, the issue is then that a station is missing the blast door covering the flaps. Loop is the only station I've encountered this issue on thus far. The picture provided is of Loop salvage.

Reproduction
Place down a plastic flap.
Notice that it is not visible on any monitors or the station map.

Since plastic flaps block airflow (last I checked anyways) it would be ideal for them to be treated as a wall/door or some other icon in the station map.
