auto hide tabs help

i dont think this is a bug and just a thing I don't know how to do. i saw in the videos that when you hover the side bars it like expands and mine doesn't i tried everything followed the stuff that i think turns it on but nothingg it didn't work idk if i did it wrong or not but im new to these so i don't really know much.

I FIXED IT but.... why is it not smooth?
and how do i remove this text? in the bottom

Glad you fixed it, for the tabs not being smooth its because of the mini-button bar in your screenshot. The text labels cannot be animated properly.

When the tabs are hovered they are animated to slide out but the text labels show up instantly making it seem like the tabs aren't smooth.

If you remove the buttons, the issue does goes away:

The buttons without text do not blend well into the theme either, but hopefully I'll figure out how to improve it in the future.
