also encountered the same problem. the battery percentage was only stopped working and close on its own before this, now it has this notification

This happened to me, after the system went to hibernation (automatically due to empty battery), and after I plugged it into the power supply and then restarted.

Same here on Windows 11 23H2. I ended up uninstalling the microsoft store version and manually downgrading to the latest 1.x version (1.3.29). I setup the 1.x version to startup automatically through Task Scheduler.

Seems like the 2.x versions are still a little buggy, but the dev has been excellent at fixing bugs and updating timely. For now I will wait on 1.x for a bit.
