During the 2015 season, FRC Team 174 created a "Simulator" that we could use to test our robot code without a physical robot. In the beginning the simulator was very raw and stupid, but has since evolved into a more usable, reliable, and helpful tool. It is now fully compliant with the WPILib simulation scheme, so this can be used in parallel with any sim tools that they provide.

Features:

  • Motor Simulations
  • Sensor Simulations
  • Ability to hook outputs (motors, etc) to inputs (encoders, etc) to test advanced logic
  • Build to be extendable for custom simulations (camera feedback, ultrasonics, etc)
