It seems it's currently downloading some randomize show/movie poster at startup which it adds a noticeable lag. And being the main menu I don't see the use personally.
In fact, I would personally prefer to disable or replace all backgrounds with a static one to keep things snappy.

Thanks,

Interesting. Here is screenplay responding with a 200 item simulated movie library. How does your experience compare to what is shown? How big is your library?

The re-size posters setting allows screenplay to work with the coverart Emby plugin. If you aren't already aware, the primary screenplay dev thread is here:

I’d really like the option to disable fanart altogether too. Not really for performance, things seem fairly snappy on my B8 OLED. But more for clarity reasons, the screen can look really busy with bright fanart behind lots of bright show and movie posters.

Also echo the OP. Great app. I use it with a Jellyfin backend and the wife really prefers it to using the Odroid with Kodi as it allows her to use the default WebOS magic remote/wand cursor. Also the customisable colour buttons is a clever touch.

That's a simple one. I'll get it in with the next enhancements. Working on a catalog filter currently then its subtitle improvements.
