Integrating with exsisting api application to automate documentation

Hi all,
I am new to API documentation and all. I was given a task to work on POC to deploy slate on a rest api project. I am aware swagger have its Nuget packages and libraries to automate generation of documentation from controllers. I am wondering is there a way to implement slate to automate API documention generation.
