Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?
I joined Sktime's mentorship program because I am passionate abuot ML and time series analysis. It offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge opensource project while gaining hands-on experience in software development and collaboration. I am excited about the prospect of working with experienced mentors who can guide me through the process of improving my skills in ML and contributing to a community-driven project.

I believe that participating in this mentorship will not only help me grow professionally but also allow me to give back to the community by contributing to a project that has the potential to make a significant impact in the field of time series analysis.

What topics are you working on?

1. D1D2 layer development aimed at handling multiple groups spread across multiple files ( handling out of memory cases)

What are your learning goals?

• Learn the core API of sktime's time series classification module and test the models (on a benchmark dataset).
• Develop proficiency in contributing to develop/update dataloaders, modelling, testing and benchmarking compatible packages and act as a bridge between the development of DSIPTS and SKTIME.
