Different resource's default values between newTraitParams() and newMultispeciesParams() #281

As the title says, is there any reason that the background resource generated by default with newMultispeciesParams() is different than the newTraitParams()?

The main concern is that kappa is set to $10^{11}$ for the multispecies object instead of having the value from Hartvig (2011) of 0.005 that describes kappa for $1 m^3$.

Does kappa need to be set at a high value in the multispecies object to help with species coexistence?

Cheers

Thanks for opening this issue. There is no reason for those defaults other than that we have so far stuck with the values chosen in mizer 0.3. We are planning to change the defaults. You find the result of discussions with Ken about the new parameters here: https://github.com/sizespectrum/mizer/blob/new-defaults/inst/new_defaults.Rmd. For the mechanism by which we move to new defaults without confusing people who got used to the old defaults see here: https://sizespectrum.org/mizer/reference/defaults_edition.html.
