Passing Grafana Dashboard multi-select Variables to JSON Payload

Hi there, I'm trying to pass in a payload with the user-selected values from the Grafana Dashboard's multi-select variables and have trouble making it work. Grafana has trouble reading the multi-select variable but the single-select variables work just fine.

With multi-select variable:

No additional error messages, the query inspector just noted "No properties".

Can you show a multi-selected variable (this case is named log_index) that can be passed through with the JSON payload? For example:

where $log_index is a multi-select Grafana dashboard variable:

I missed this discussion, kinda busy lately. Have you tried putting the car in {}? ${log_index}
