Downlaoding files is not working on Linux with 7.35.0-beta.1 #7104

Using a supported version?

  • I have searched searched open and closed issues for duplicates.
  • I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Overall summary

downloading files is not working

Steps to reproduce

Clicking on the download icon will open the file chooser to select a directory.
Select [Open] in the File dialog will do nothing.

Expected result

File saved to directory

Actual result

nothing. File dialog stays open, only closes when pressed cancel.

Sorry this is happening -- seems to be a duplicate of #6912 which needs an upstream change
