Question about the roadmap to being able to chose partition layout

My dilemma is, most VPS have exactly 1 virtual disk.
And when I evaluated Talos in a live environment, which was in February this year (2025), it used the whole disk and there was no possibility to say "hey I have a 256GB Disk, please reserve 100GB for storage on a separate partition".

It was said that the next major version will have this feature.

Looking at the releases, in February 2025 the major version was 1.9
Current major version is 1.10 and 1.11 is around the corner (prerelease available).

Is it possible now to have a separate storage partition if you only have 1 disk?
Is there an overview of features, like some what's new in verions 1.10 or 1.11?
