UNICORN - A System for Searching the Social Graph

A presentation looking through the technology behind the world's best social network's search engine. facebook's Graph Search is a unique search engine that can make multiple round-trips to leaves in order to retrieve ob- jects that are more than one edge away from source nodes. In simple words, Unicorn is a system that can find any kind of relations within facebook.

Example Queries :
  • Friends of John Doe who work at ABC Company
  • Photos of my friends at Starbucks Coffee
  • People who work at Apple Inc. located at Singapore

This presentation was made for my university's semester 7 seminar pursuing my undergraduate degreee in Computer Science & Engineering from Kerala University, India.
