There's clearly no urgency, but I saw SAP have put out a 2.0.0 version with some breaking changes.

I'm wondering if any thought has been put into that? If it's as "simple" as having a 2.0.0 branch, then I don't mind being a guinea pig, bumping into whatever they have changed and PRing back what I am able.

Yes it's a good question.
I'd probably rather make a "end of life" branch for the 1.x series, and use master for the 2.x series, because I like to live in the present :D

I will be on vacations for two weeks now, but I intended to take a look when I am back!
