Remove Scale

the legend is a regular scale. Thus, you should be able to set display: false on the r-scale object. see also

adding display: false to the r-scale object seems to disable my entire chart.

here's my options block:

            legend: {
              display: false

          },
          scales: {
            xy: {

I took the original from the docs(https://codepen.io/sgratzl/pen/YzyJRvm) and just add the r scale with display: false.
You can see this error on the browser console:

Sorry if I'm jumping in the thread.
The "size" scale is an extension of legend scale, therefore to remove the legend, try adding "display: false" to "size" scale.
