I hadn't before seen Open Targets express much interest in "Creating a gold standard toolkit for post-GWAS analysis", but I spotted that in https://genetics-docs.opentargets.org/upcoming-features. It's something to keep an eye on since it may align well with some of our early sgkit goals like supporting pathway GWAS, doing endophenotype MR, maybe TWAS -- basically anything to broaden the space of high quality links between targets and diseases or failing that, to at least do a better job explaining the existing links.
I suspect the endophenotype MR use case is one they'll execute on given Systematic disease-agnostic identification of therapeutically actionable targets using the genetics of human plasma proteins (June 2023).
Anyways, I'll try to update this post with anything I see from them that more directly overlaps with what we had talked about doing with sgkit in the past.
