Description
As we improve the FAIRDOM-SEEK documentation and the FAIRDOM website, let's review the FAIRDOM-SEEK webpages.
Immediate changes required
- The Documentation page is hidden in the burger menu at the top. I think because the top nav has many items already, the later ones overflow into the burger menu. On my laptop, it's just the last/eighth item of Documentation, though it is more items on a narrow screen. Suggest we reorder these to promote Documentation, or remove another item, or shorten the names.
- The Publications page is not up-to-date, where the FAIRDOM Publications page is.
- The Contacting us page is not up-to-date, where the FAIRDOM contacting us page is. (Mentions Google Groups.)
- The About us page is not up-to-date (eg dead link to PALS gallery). Are the example publications still the 'key' ones to cite?
Alternative: retire the site, move remaining/unique content to FAIRDOM site
I wonder, would it be better to move the unique information from this site to the FAIRDOM-SEEK page on the FAIRDOM website? That is, some of the Features page and the Registration form. The SEEK page on the FAIRDOM site already needs improvements.
